How to read in Arab-Latin: Illā tanṣurụhu fa qad naṣarahullāhu iż akhrajahullażīna kafarụ ṡāniyaṡnaini iż humā fil-gāri iż yaqụlu liṣāḥibihī lā taḥzan innallāha ma’anā, fa anzalallāhu sakīnatahụ ‘alaihi wa ayyadahụ bijunụdil lam tarauhā wa ja’ala kalimatallażīna kafarus-suflā, wa kalimatullāhi hiyal-‘ulyā, wallāhu ‘azīzun ḥakīm.
Translation: If you do not aid him [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)] – Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two,1 when they were in the cave and he [i.e., Muḥammad (ﷺ)] said to his companion, “Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us.” And Allah sent down His tranquility upon him and supported him with soldiers [i.e., angels] you did not see and made the word2 of those who disbelieved the lowest,3 while the word of Allah4 – that is the highest. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

Tafsir Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance) Ayah 40 – Tafsirweb
O friends of the apostles! If you do not go to war with him when you are asked to leave, and if you do not help him, then indeed Allah has strengthened him and helped him on the day the disbelievers from the tribe of Quraysh expelled him from his country (Makkah). He was one of two people (he and Abu Bakr Sidiq), and they forced the two of them to take shelter in the mountain cave of Tsur in Makkah, where he stayed in it for three days and three nights, when he said to his friend (Abu Bakr) whom he saw was terrified and worried about him, “don’t be sad. Indeed Allah is with us with His help and support. “So Allah lowered the peace in the heart of the Prophet ﷺ and helped him with an army that was not visible to anyone from among humans. They are angels. So Allah saved him from his enemies, and Allah SWT humiliated His enemies and made the disbelievers’ slogan low. And the sentence of Allah SWT is the highest, namely by exalting Islam. And Allah is all-powerful in His power, All-wise in managing the affairs of His servants. In this verse, there is an indication of the great virtue of burning ash.
9: 40 Tafsir Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah/Markaz Ta’dzhim al-Qur’an under Prof. Dr. Imad Zuhair Hafidz, professor at the faculty of the Qur’an at the Islamic University of Madinah.
إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ (If you do not help him (Muhammad))
That is, if you do not help the Messenger of Allah, then Allah will guarantee it.
فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللهُ (then verily Allah has helped him.)
In several wars, and was helped over the enemy with the victory. Or He will be helped by people who want to help him when no one is with him except one person when the disbelievers drove him out.
ثَانِىَ اثْنَيْنِ (one of two people)
Both are Rasulullah and Abu Bakr as-Siddiq.
إِذْ هُمَا فِى الْغَارِ (when the two of them are in the cave)
Namely, the cave on the hill is called Tsur, which is a hill near the city of Makkah.
إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصٰحِبِهِۦ (when he said to his friend)
Namely to Abu Bakr.
لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَنَا (Do not grieve, verily Allah is with us.)
Furthermore, whoever is with Allah will not be defeated, and whoever is not defeated does not need him to be sad.
فَأَنزَلَ اللهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَيْهِ (So Allah revealed His information to)
That is, Allah calms his heart so that the fear that is in him disappears, and he feels safe.
وَأَيَّدَهُۥ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا (and help her with soldiers you do not see)
Namely with the angels as happened in the Battle of Badr.
وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ السُّفْلَىٰ (and make the words of the disbelievers low)
That is, the sentence of Shirk so that the land of the disbelievers was destroyed.
وَكَلِمَةُ اللهِ هِىَ الْعُلْيَا (And the sentence of Allah is highest)
Namely, the sentence of tauhid and Islamic preaching, the characteristic that is always there, is always above all sentences. Furthermore, the religion of Islam is always high, and no one can beat it.
َاللهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ (Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise)
Namely, those who are All-Mighty and Rulers do not do anything except those containing wisdom and truth.
